to put on, to apply (cream, lotion) verb
- taa mid
- Mid: level, in your normal speaking voice.
How to use it
ทาtaa is spreading something thin on a surface: sunscreen, lotion, ointment, butter on toast, paint on a wall, ทาสีtaa sǐi. Pharmacists will tell you whether a medicine is ทาtaa, for the skin, or กินgin, to swallow. The t is breathy; with an unbreathy dt, ตาdtaa is your eye or your grandfather.
Don't mix it up
-
ตาdtaa
eye; grandfather (mother's father)
No breath on the dt: an eye.
