How to use it

ชายฝั่งchaai-fàng is the coast, the word of maps and weather warnings. Thailand has two: the Gulf of Thailand, อ่าวไทยàao-tai, to the east, and the Andaman Sea, ทะเลอันดามันtá-lee an-daa-man, to the west. Their rainy seasons differ: the Andaman side is wettest from about May to October, while the Gulf islands like Koh Samui get most rain from about October to December. A day at the seaside is just going to the ทะเลtá-lee, the sea.
