Cracked in Thai

“Cracked” in Thai is ร้าวráao.

ร้าว ráao

cracked (but still in one piece) adjective

  • ráao high
  • High: start high and go a little higher, a bit tense; don’t let it fall.

How to use it

ร้าวráao is cracked but not yet broken: a glass with a hairline crack, a wall after an earthquake, a bone with a small fracture, กระดูกร้าวgrà-dùuk ráao. The crack itself is a รอยร้าวrawy ráao, "a cracked mark", and a rift between friends or in a team is one too. Broken into pieces is แตกdtàek, and snapped in two หักhàk.
