How to use it

A หมอดูmǎw-duu, a "seeing doctor", reads palms, birth dates and cards, and many Thais consult one before a wedding, a move or a new business, to choose a lucky date. Having your fortune told is ดูดวงduu-duang, "looking at the stars", and your fortune is your ดวงduang: ดวงดีduang dii, in luck. Plenty of people do it half for fun; our page on Thai superstitions explains the beliefs behind it.
