How to use it
ฝีมือfǐi-muue is the skill of someone's hands: a tailor's stitching, a carpenter's work and, very often, cooking. ฝีมือดีfǐi-muue dii is a compliment for the cook, and a dish that's ฝีมือแม่fǐi-muue mâe was made by Mum herself. A skill you learn, like a language or driving, is a ทักษะták-sà, the word on CVs and course descriptions, and being good at something is เก่งgèng.
