Drop in Thai

“Drop” in Thai is ทำตกtam dtòk.

ทำตก tam dtòk

to drop (something) verb

  • tam mid
  • dtòk low
  • Low: flat and lower than your normal voice, dropping a little at the end.

How to use it

Like losing something, dropping it uses ทำtam, to make, with the thing in the middle: ทำโทรศัพท์ตกtam too-rá-sàp dtòk, I dropped my phone. Without ทำtam, ตกdtòk just says it fell: แก้วตกgâew dtòk, the glass fell. If it broke, add แตกdtàek: ตกแตกdtòk dtàek.
