รบ róp
to fight (a war) verb
- róp high
- High: start high and go a little higher, a bit tense; don’t let it fall.
You'll hear it in The Thai National Anthem (เพลงชาติไทย).
How to use it
รบróp is to fight in a battle or a war, the word of the national anthem and history books. For a fight between people, Thai says ทะเลาะtá-láw, to argue, or ต่อยกันdtàwy gan, to come to blows, and to fight on in the sense of "don't give up" is สู้sûu. You'll meet รบróp every day inside รบกวนróp-guan, to bother.
