How to use it

ทะเลาะtá-láw is a quarrel, usually with กันgan, each other: couples, siblings, neighbours. Making up afterwards is คืนดีkuuen-dii, or ง้อngáw when one of you coaxes the other out of a sulk.

เถียงtǐang is arguing back, as a teenager does with a parent, and อย่าเถียงyàa tǐang, don't argue, is a classic line of Thai parents.
