How to use it

ขอบฟ้าkàwp-fáa, "the edge of the sky", is the horizon, where the sun comes up over the sea and sets behind the mountains; the line itself is เส้นขอบฟ้าsên kàwp-fáa. Songs and poems reach further, to ปลายฟ้าbplaai-fáa, "the tip of the sky", a place far away, as in Ble Patumrach's luk thung hit. สุดสายตาsùt sǎai-dtaa, "the end of your sight", is as far as the eye can see, the way Thais describe endless rice fields or the open sea.
