to look up, to raise your head verb
- ngoei mid
- nâa falling
- Falling: start high and drop clearly, like a firm “No!”
You'll hear it in Chujai (ชูใจ).
How to use it
เงยหน้าngoei-nâa, "lift the face", is looking up: at the sky, at a photographer, at someone tall. Its opposite is ก้มหน้าgôm nâa, to lower your head, and ก้มหน้าก้มตาgôm-nâa-gôm-dtaa is keeping your head down and getting on with the work. Looking a word up is เปิดดูbpòet duu, "open and look", in a book, or ค้นหาkón-hǎa, to search, online.
