to turn, to spin verb
- mǔn rising
- Rising: start low, dip, then rise to the top, like a doubtful “Really?”
You'll hear it in Chiwit Yang Khong Suay Ngam (ชีวิตยังคงสวยงาม).
How to use it
หมุนmǔn is turning round and round: a wheel, a fan, the earth, a knob or the lid of a jar. หัวหมุนhǔa mǔn, "the head spins", is being run off your feet, and หมุนเงินmǔn ngoen is juggling money to pay what's due. Going round in circles, like a car looking for a parking space, is วนwon, and turning at a corner is เลี้ยวlíaw.
