โลกlôok is the world and the planet Earth, with a falling tone. It's in ทั่วโลกtûa lôok, all over the world, and in the football World Cup, ฟุตบอลโลกfút-bawn lôok.
Watch the first sound: โรคrôok, a disease, differs only in r and l, and since many Thais say l for r in casual speech, the two can sound the same.
