ขี้ลืม kîi-luuem
forgetful adjective
- kîi falling
- luuem mid
- Falling: start high and drop clearly, like a firm “No!”
Parts: ขี้kîi prone to (before a habit or trait) ลืมluuem to forget
How to use it
ขี้ลืมkîi-luuem is someone who always forgets: keys, names, the umbrella in the taxi. ขี้kîi before a verb or adjective turns it into a habit: ขี้อายkîi-aai, shy, ขี้เกียจkîi-gìat, lazy, ขี้บ่นkîi-bòn, always complaining. On its own, ขี้kîi is a blunt word for poo, so it only works as a prefix.
