  • yawm mid
  • Mid: level, in your normal speaking voice.

How to use it

ยอมyawm is giving way: agreeing to something after resisting, or letting something happen. ไม่ยอมmâi yawm is refusing to budge, like a seller who won't drop the price or a child who won't go to bed. With ให้hâi it's "let": ยอมให้yawm hâi. It builds ยอมรับyawm-ráp, "give in and accept", to admit, and ยอมแพ้yawm-páe, "give in to defeat", to give up.
