How to use it
A เกสต์เฮาส์gét-háo is a small, often family-run place with a few simple rooms, the classic budget stay in the old town of Chiang Mai, in Pai and on the islands. The word comes from English, with both syllables said high, and signs often spell it เกสท์เฮ้าส์gét-háo. A place with beds in shared dorms is a โฮสเทลhóot-tew, a hostel.
Any place to stay is a ที่พักtîi-pák, "place to stay", and the first question at the desk is พักกี่คืนpák gìi kuuen, how many nights?
