ใบสั่งยาbai-sàng-yaa is literally "the sheet that orders medicine". Pharmacies sell many medicines after a short chat with the pharmacist, but some need a doctor's prescription. At hospitals and most clinics you don't take one away at all: you collect your medicine at their own pharmacy counter, ห้องยาhâwng yaa, before you leave.
