How to use it

ยิงying is shooting: a gun, ยิงปืนying bpuuen, a bow, or a ball at the goal, ยิงประตูying bprà-dtuu, to score. In the news it's the word for shootings. Mind the tones, because three words sound alike: mid ยิงying is to shoot, falling ยิ่งyîng is "even more", and rising หญิงyǐng is a woman, as in ผู้หญิงpûu-yǐng.

Don't mix it up

  • หญิงyǐng

    woman, female

    Rising tone: a woman.
