The story

Ayutthaya, the old Thai capital, long ago. A foreign fighter has arrived by ship and challenged the whole city.

Retold from the Sri Thanonchai tales, Thailand's best-known trickster stories: the episode of the giant baby. In the version most often told, the challenger is a boxer from India, and a big Thai boxer shaves his head and pulls out his teeth to pass for a newborn. Ours makes the challenger a farang and adds the dinner, Nai To's name and his last line.
