As for in Thai

“As for” in Thai is ส่วนsùan.

ส่วน sùan

as for, while (contrast: and Fon, on the other hand …) conjunction

  • sùan low
  • Low: flat and lower than your normal voice, dropping a little at the end.

It switches to the other side of a contrast: กฤษชอบกรุงเทพส่วนฝนชอบเชียงใหม่grìt châwp grung-têep sùan fǒn châwp chiang-mài (Krit likes Bangkok, while Fon likes Chiang Mai).
