ชีส chíit
cheese noun
- chíit high
- High: start high and go a little higher, a bit tense; don’t let it fall.
How to use it
Thai cooking doesn't use cheese, so you'll meet it in pizza, 7-Eleven toasties and cafés, and imported cheese in supermarkets is pricey. It's said chíit, with a high tone and a t at the end. You may also see the older word เนยแข็งnoei kǎeng, "hard butter".
