How to use it

รักแรกrák-râek, "love first", is your first love: the classmate or the neighbour you never quite forget, and the subject of countless Thai songs and films. แรกrâek, first, comes after the noun, as in ครั้งแรกkráng-râek, the first time, and love at first sight is รักแรกพบrák-râek-póp, "love at first meeting". Innocent teenage love is รักวัยใสrák wai-sǎi, and a crush you keep to yourself is แอบชอบàep châwp.
