Flight in Thai

“Flight” in Thai is เที่ยวบินtîaw-bin.

เที่ยวบิน tîaw-bin

flight noun

  • tîaw falling
  • bin mid
  • Falling: start high and drop clearly, like a firm “No!”
Parts: เที่ยวtîaw a trip, a run บินbin to fly

How to use it

เที่ยวtîaw here is a single trip or run, so a flight is a "flying run"; the same word counts trips, as in เที่ยวสุดท้ายtîaw sùt-táai, the last run of the day. Domestic flights from Bangkok leave from both airports: Don Mueang for most low-cost airlines, Suvarnabhumi for the rest.
