How to use it
รุ่นrûn is a generation or age group, and a model or version of something: รุ่นไหนrûn nǎi, which model?, is the first question at a phone shop. คนรุ่นใหม่kon rûn mài are the younger generation.
At school, university and work, Thais sort people into รุ่นพี่rûn-pîi, seniors who started before you, and รุ่นน้องrûn-náwng, juniors who started after, a bond with respect on one side and help on the other.
