How to use it

ประเด็นbprà-den is an issue or a point under discussion: the key issue in a debate, the point of an argument, a topic on the news. It's common in conversation too: ประเด็นคือbprà-den kuue, the point is…, and ไม่ใช่ประเด็นmâi châi bprà-den, that's not the point.

A hot topic everyone is arguing about online is a ประเด็นร้อนbprà-den ráwn, and a problem that needs fixing is a ปัญหาbpan-hǎa.
