How to use it
ลิ้นจี่lín-jìi comes from Chinese, like the English word: a high tone, then a low one. Thai lychees grow in the cool hills of the North, around Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Phayao, and the fresh fruit is in season for a few weeks around May.
The rest of the year you'll find lychee juice, น้ำลิ้นจี่náam lín-jìi, lychees in syrup, and lychees in roast duck red curry.
