How to use it

ปาร์ตี้bpaa-dtîi, from English, is a party with music and drinks: a birthday party, a pool party, the full moon parties of Koh Phangan. งานเลี้ยงngaan-líang, a "feast event", is the classic Thai get-together around food: the office New Year party, a farewell, งานเลี้ยงส่งngaan-líang sòng, or a wedding reception. Any planned event is a งานngaan, and whoever pays เลี้ยงlíang, treats everyone. A political party is a พรรคpák.
