How to use it
ป้ายbpâai, with a falling tone, is any sign or label: a street sign, a shop sign, a price tag, ป้ายราคาbpâai raa-kaa, or a name tag, ป้ายชื่อbpâai chûue. A bus stop is named after its sign, ป้ายรถเมล์bpâai-rót-mee, and a number plate is ป้ายทะเบียนbpâai tá-bian. A sign that starts with ห้ามhâam forbids something. To sign your name is another word, เซ็นsen.
