เหงื่อ ngùea
sweat noun
- ngùea low
Start with the ng of sing, then a low, gliding uea.
How to use it
Thai has no separate verb for sweating: sweat comes out, เหงื่อออกngùea àwk. In the heat of Bangkok everybody sweats, which is why many Thais carry a handkerchief, ผ้าเช็ดหน้าpâa-chét-nâa, "cloth that wipes the face", and why a cold towel at a restaurant is so welcome.
