How to use it
ละครlá-kawn is a TV drama or soap opera, and also a play. Prime-time Thai dramas, ละครหลังข่าวlá-kawn lǎng kàao, "the drama after the news", are a national habit, full of love triangles, rich families, slaps and ghosts. Over-the-top melodrama is teased as ละครน้ำเน่าlá-kawn náam-nâo, "rotten-water drama", and a stage play or musical is a ละครเวทีlá-kawn wee-tii.
