How to use it

ครั้งkráng and คราวkraao both mean "a time, an occasion", so "next time" is ครั้งหน้าkráng-nâa or คราวหน้าkraao-nâa, and last time is ครั้งที่แล้วkráng tîi-láew. ไว้คราวหน้านะwái kraao-nâa ná, "keep it for next time", is the gentle way to turn down an invitation. When a friend has paid for your meal, the warm reply is ครั้งหน้าเลี้ยงคืนนะkráng-nâa líang kuuen ná, next time it's on me.
