How to use it

ข้อkâw is one item in a list: a point in a plan, a rule, a question on a test. It builds many everyday words: ข้อดีkâw-dii, an advantage, and ข้อเสียkâw-sǐa, a disadvantage; ข้อสอบkâw-sàwp, exam questions; ข้อความkâw-kwaam, a message; ข้อมูลkâw-muun, information. A joint of the body is a ข้อkâw too: the wrist is ข้อมือkâw-muue, "hand joint". Mind the tone: falling ข้อkâw; rising ขอkǎw is "may I have".

Don't mix it up

  • ขอkǎw

    may I have…, I'd like… (asking for something)
