How to use it

Every Thai kitchen has a rice cooker, หม้อหุงข้าวmâw hǔng kâao, a "pot for cooking rice". Clay pots are หม้อดินmâw din, and tom yum sometimes arrives in a หม้อไฟmâw fai, a "fire pot" with glowing charcoal in a chimney in the middle.

Mind the tone: หม้อmâw, falling, is a pot; หมอmǎw, rising, is a doctor.
