How to use it
รักษาrák-sǎa is what a doctor does: to treat, to cure. Hospital bills are ค่ารักษาkâa rák-sǎa, the treatment costs, so keep your insurance details handy, and being in hospital for treatment is รักษาตัวrák-sǎa dtua.
The word also means to keep or look after something, as on the classic sign โปรดรักษาความสะอาดbpròot rák-sǎa kwaam sà-àat, please keep this place clean. To keep a promise is รักษาสัญญาrák-sǎa sǎn-yaa.
