Keep ว่าwâa falling even at speed: a high คิดkít, a falling ว่าwâa, then a level ยังไงyang-ngai. - ชอบ châwpเชียงใหม่ chiang-màiเพราะ práwคน konใจดี jai-dii
I like Chiang Mai because the people are kind.
เพราะpráw is one short, high syllable starting with pr. Don't let it fall. - ฝนตก fǒn dtòkก็เลย gâw-loeiไม่ mâiไป bpai
It was raining, so I didn't go.
ก็เลยgâw-loei: a quick falling ก็gâw, then a level เลยloei. - อร่อย à-ràwyแต่ dtàeแพง paengไป bpaiหน่อย nàwy
It's tasty, but a bit too expensive.
แต่dtàe is low and short, with no puff of air on the dt. - ที่นี่ tîi-nîiเงียบ ngîapดี dii
It's nice and quiet here.
เงียบngîap starts with ng, as at the end of 'sing', and falls; stop the final p without releasing it. - ไม่ค่อย mâi kâwyเห็นด้วย hěn-dûayนะ ná
I don't really agree.
Rising เห็นhěn, falling ด้วยdûay, then a light, high นะná to keep it friendly. - ไม่แน่ใจ mâi nâe-jaiเหมือนกัน mǔean-gan
I'm not sure either.
แน่ใจnâe-jai falls, then stays level; เหมือนกันmǔean-gan rises, then stays level. - เบื่อ bùeaรถติด rót dtìtก็เลย gâw-loeiมา maaอยู่ yùuที่นี่ tîi-nîi
I got fed up with the traffic, so I came to live here.
เบื่อbùea is low; in รถติดrót dtìt, a high รถrót and a low ติดdtìt, both cut short. - ชอบ châwpอาหาร aa-hǎanไทย taiมาก mâakโดยเฉพาะ dooi-chà-páwส้มตำ sôm-dtam
I love Thai food, especially som tam.
โดยเฉพาะdooi-chà-páw goes level, low, high; ส้มตำsôm-dtam falls, then stays level.
