The song's first words. รู้ดีrúu dii = to know very well, to know full well (ดีdii, good, after a verb = well). ทุกทีtúk tii = every time; ทุกทีที่túk tii tîi + clause = every time that… มองมาที่ฉันmawng maa tîi chǎn = to look over at me: มาmaa after a verb points the action towards the speaker. The next line says what he knows: she would do anything for them to be together. Right after 'because': why she shouldn't stay. ไม่เคยmâi koei + verb = have never. ลืมไปluuem bpai = to have forgotten (it's gone), with the person in between: ลืมเขาไปluuem kǎo bpai. สักวันsàk wan = some day, one day; after a negative it means not for a single day. เขาkǎo can be he or she. - แต่ dtàeสุดท้าย sùt-táaiมัน manก็ gâwเบลอ bloeกลายเป็น glaai-bpenเขา kǎo

แฟนเก่าfaen-gào = an ex (แฟนfaen = boyfriend or girlfriend, เก่าgào = old, former). Verb + ไม่ได้mâi dâi = can't, and the thing goes between them: ลืมแฟนเก่าไม่ได้luuem faen-gào mâi dâi = can't forget an ex. แบบฉันbàep chǎn = like me (แบบbàep = kind, style). The next line ends the thought: doesn't deserve anyone's love.

The culture behind it
Three Man Down (Is It Raining?) are a Bangkok band who made their name on GeneLab, a GMM Grammy label; since April 2026 they have been on Bridge, one of the labels of Kruengkao Group, the company of GeneLab's founder Ohm Pantapol. "ถ้าเธอรักฉันจริงtâa toe rák chǎn jing" came out on 15 December 2020, with words and music by the guitarist, Toon (Peerapon Iamjamrat). The idea came from the singer, Kit (Krit Jeerapattananuwong): their album still had no song about someone selfish who has a new love but can't forget the old one, so Toon wrote it, the last song written for the album. Its video passed two million views in its first day.
The video, by Nara Narathip Chainarong, who also directed the music video of Is It Raining?, was shot over more than three days at places around Chiang Mai. It follows a group of close friends after the funniest of them, Bell, dies, and leaves who loved whom for the viewer to decide. It opens at her funeral with a video the friends once made for her, and its first words, 'hi, Bell', became a hashtag that fans sent to their crushes. In that video the friends use the rough pronouns กูguu (I) and มึงmueng (you) of close friends; the song itself is clean.
