price noun
ลดราคาlót raa-kaa (lower the price) on a sign means 'sale'.

That's a really good price.

- กว่า gwàa
more … (than), -er (after an adjective) adverb
It goes after the adjective: ถูกกว่าtùuk gwàa cheaper, ใหญ่กว่าyài gwàa bigger. You know it from ดีกว่าdii gwàa (better).
- ตัว dtuaนี้ níiถูก tùukกว่า gwàa
This one's cheaper.
- สี sǐiแดง daengสวย sǔayกว่า gwàaสี sǐiดำ dam
The red is prettier than the black.

- ที่สุด tîi-sùt
the most …, the …-est (after an adjective) adverb
After the adjective or verb: ถูกที่สุดtùuk tîi-sùt the cheapest, ชอบที่สุดchâwp tîi-sùt like best.
- ร้าน ráanนี้ níiถูก tùukที่สุด tîi-sùt
This shop is the cheapest.
- อัน anไหน nǎiดี diiที่สุด tîi-sùt
Which one is the best?

- เท่ากัน tâo-gan
the same (amount, size, price); equally adverb
- ราคา raa-kaaเท่ากัน tâo-gan
They're the same price.
- สอง sǎwngตัว dtuaนี้ níiใหญ่ yàiเท่ากัน tâo-gan
These two are the same size.

- เหมือน mǔean
like; the same as preposition
- เอา aoเหมือน mǔeanอัน anนั้น nánครับ kráp
I'll have one like that.
Men เอาเหมือนอันนั้นครับ Women เอาเหมือนอันนั้นค่ะ
- เหมือน mǔeanของ kǎwngแท้ táeมาก mâak
It looks just like the real thing.

- เหมือนกัน mǔean-gan
the same, alike; too, as well adverb
Two meanings: 'alike' (ไม่เหมือนกันmâi mǔean-gan different) and 'too' at the end of a reply: ชอบเหมือนกันchâwp mǔean-gan I like it too.
- สอง sǎwngตัว dtuaนี้ níiไม่ mâiเหมือนกัน mǔean-gan
These two aren't the same.
- ชอบ châwpเหมือนกัน mǔean-gan
I like it too.

other, else adjective
After the noun: สีอื่นsǐi ùuen other colours, ร้านอื่นráan ùuen another shop.
- มี miiสี sǐiอื่น ùuenไหม mǎiครับ kráp
Do you have other colours?
Men มีสีอื่นไหมครับ Women มีสีอื่นไหมคะ
- ไป bpaiร้าน ráanอื่น ùuenดีกว่า dii gwàa
Let's try another shop instead.

to change, to exchange verb
For clothes, plans and trains alike: เปลี่ยนรถไฟbplìan rót-fai change trains.
- เปลี่ยน bplìanได้ dâiไหม mǎiครับ kráp
Can I exchange it?
Men เปลี่ยนได้ไหมครับ Women เปลี่ยนได้ไหมคะ

Low tone: rising สองsǎwng is 'two'.
